Alice Riley

Wright Square is one of the first squares in Georgia along with 4 others. Wright square is also famous for its Spanish moss. The odd thing is, on the North side of the square, no moss grows. Just completely stops. On the South side, moss is everywhere, like it should be. Some people say the reason it doesn't grow is Alice Riley. Alice Riley was a servant for a man who was an aristocrat, & he was very high in aristocracy. Alice and her husband, married for 8 months, decided to kill their master. The next day while giving the man a bath, Alice drowned him. Her and her husband ran off for 2 days and got caught. Her husband and Alice were supposed to be hung at the same time on the North side of Wright Square, but Alice couldn't be hung. She was pregnant, and when the baby was born, she was hung and her baby died later of pnemonia. They say Alice Riley is still up in the trees, looking for her child.
